It's not really possible at the moment.

Yes ignoring the emulators is one workaround.

Another customer does this as a workaround: when Including the site, before pressing F9, you can click the "..." button and choose size preference = ignore. Then Sat will not try to force the table into it's slot size, but rather just use whatever size you've currently chosen for the table. Then, he uses the "beta highDPI" download which allows you to exclude specific sites from specific slots. And then that way, he can have slots like this for example:

And then he only allows the emulators in slots 5&6 because their windows are vertical and extend below the slot size. Whereas if the emulators were in slots 1&2 they would block and obscure 3&4

See this has been requested. In the meantime, using the "Ignore Table" feature, I have a decent workaround.
