No. The stack table at end of hand is not checked.

I'll give it a try without a bunch of tables going.

Are you using the 'Stack Table at End Of Hand' feature? Maybe that is the cause?

I just tested it and it worked fine. Open up one table. Put the table into the stack. Wait for your turn to act. The table should pop out into grid. Fold+Stack the table. Then sit out. Wait for the duration (default 5 minutes, you can lower to 1 minute to test), and the table should move into the Old Tables slot and stay there.

I have 6 slots. I use the first four for tiles, the 5th for stacking, and the 6th for old tables. I'd like to be able to see the old table to decide whether i want to keep it or close it. However, every time an old table pops up in slot 6, it immediately gets stacked in slot 5. I've not found how Old Tables Slot is useful yet.

Thanks.
