And yes, I am a very long time user of your program because it's awesome!!!

Are there any other lines that are not up to date anymore in my config ?

Thumbsup

You can remove these lines as well, but it won't matter because SaT no longer even reads them:

I still do read the bring_urgent_tables_to_top just in case someone wants that turned off for whatever reason

I understood your post the first time. You have 4 slots, so assuming that all grid slots 2,3,4 were already full, and Table B was in the bottom of the stack and required action, SaT is supposed to bring that table to the top of the stack by default.

But, I found your problem in your config:

Code:
bring_urgent_tables_to_top=0

You must be a long time user. This was an old setting that used to be configurable in the Advanced Options. I have since removed it because I always want it on by default. Perhaps you had set this to 0 a long time ago. Change that setting to 1, and then save the config file, and reload SaT. Then test it out. It will work. Smile Or you could even remove that line completely, and then SaT will revert to always having it on by default.

You didn't touch on the issue I was talking about, though. You were just describing how SAT usually works.

Im trying to describe my issue again. I have table A and B. Table A is already on the grid and I have a tough decision to make which takes some time. Table B is still in the stack slot and is the next table in line needing action as well. But it wont pop up on top of the stack until I have made a decision on table A.

What I want is a hotkey that puts the most urgent table on the stack slot on top regardless if there is another table on the grid that needs action prior to the "most urgent table on the stack".

Hope this was more understandable.

Sometimes I have an issue when I want to take more time for a decision on a specific table.

F.e. I have table x on the grid where I need to take the time bank for a tough decision. The next table in line is on the stack slot and wont pop up until I have made an action on table x, making me play catch up after the action on table x.

I would like to have a hotkey to put the the next table in line on top of the stack slot to make it more efficient. While thinking about what to do on table x I could already work on the next table if its an easy decision. This would make StackAndTile even more efficient.

What you describe is a very common problem when multitabling with a stack. But what you describe: This is how SaT is supposed to work already, to solve this problem.

Normally, when it is your turn to act on a table, SaT will move tables out of the stack and into the grid. Now, if all of the grid slots are full, then the stack tables have no where to go when they require action. In this case, SaT will bring them to the top of the stack so that you can see them (at least it should).

So I would rather focus on helping you fix the issue as to why this isn't happening already. Can you click on File -> Current Layout and then paste everything in that file? That will show me your config. Also please describe your normal play with SaT.

Hey!

Sometimes I have an issue when I want to take more time for a decision on a specific table.

The "next in line" hotkey should only work if table x is on a grid slot and the table next in line is on the stack slot.

Now that I think about it the hotkey should just always put the the most urgent stack slot table on top . I know there is already an "activate most urgent table" hotkey, but this one would work differently.

I hope you can understand what I am looking for in this hotkey. Hopefully it wont be too hard to implement.
