You might look to see if you can change the language in your foreign PartyPoker version and see if you can change the language to English or something. You shouldnt need to download a whole new client.
I might be able to change it in the client to look for periods or commas, but the problem would then be in your client the $ symbol comes AFTER the price, instead of before. This would cause bigger problems, so unfortunately its probably not worth it.
